we were in for quite a surprise when Matthew Herbert Big Band appeared in Jazz Middelheim 2007. we heard Big Band music from the era of yesteryear combined with some special audio sampling techniques, and humour was never far away during their performance. this is a picture of charming leadsinger Valerie Etienne.
